Kabarnet High school introduces aviation subject in preparation for JSS learners

Kabarnet High School has introduced Aviation, Home Science and French subjects to enhance competitiveness as well as meet future needs of students under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Speaking during the school’s Thanksgiving ceremony, Chief Principal Mr. Julius Ndirangu noted that the move also aimed at increasing opportunities for its students after completing their secondary education.

He said the growing number of students from far away areas such as Lamu and Marsabit was a testimony that the school was a beacon of academic excellence.

Mr. Ndirangu mentioned that the school has already engaged in construction of more infrastructure to cater for the increasing student population from around 1,023 students five years ago to the current population of 1,800 students.

He lauded parents and the Board of Management (BoM) led by Public Investment Portofolio Director Mr. Lawrence Kibet for their explicit role in the construction of  a 527-capacity modern dormitory, a two-storey modern tuition block, administration block, dining hall, science lab and walkway to enhance mobility.

Parents Association Chairman Mr. Pius Bolei expressed confidence regarding this year’s candidate class and challenged them to burn the midnight oil to attain sterling KCSE results and join university to pursue their dream courses.

He maintained that the school is poised to position itself among best schools in the country noting that nothing will deter their offensive charm towards realization of impressive national examination results.

Bolei praised the school for transiting 1,175 students to various universities in the last five years.

He called on parents, the school and stakeholders to rally behind advocating interests of the boy child in equal measure as the girl child.
