The Nakuru-based Kabarak University has been the latest victim of cyber-crime cases after their Facebook page, which has a whopping 43, 000 followers, was hijacked yester-night by hackers who posted images which contradict the institution’s codes, aligned to Christianity.
Hackers have been posting photos of cigarettes, alcohol, party videos and supper bikes racing events and changed the profile photo to that of a man of Indonesian descent.
The last time the institution’s Facebook page made a relevant post was on April 18, where the administrators shared a blog praising its conducive learning environment.
The most controversial post made at the page was that one of a man with an Asian origin smoking cigar which totally contradicts with the christian beliefs and foundation of the institution which is owned by the Late former president Daniel Arap Moi’s family.
Some Kenyans now want the institution’s Information Technology gurus to look at the matter as soon as possible to ensure that it is fixed once and for all.
