Rift Valley Regional Director of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Dr Samuel Marigat, has urged Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers to respect their head teachers and foster close collaboration to enhance the quality of education in their respective schools.

Speaking in his office in Nakuru City, Dr Marigat said the commission has conducted various workshops in which JSS teachers have been retooled to understand their central role in their schools.

He added that school heads in JSS have also attended workshops facilitated by TSC to ensure they perform their duties per TSC regulations.

“The TSC have been conducting a workshop where JSS teachers are retooled to understand their core role of impacting education to learners through CBC, and likewise, JSS School heads have also been retooled to enable them to treat JSS teachers as their colleague teachers, and JSS teachers must respect their bosses to improve the standard of education in their schools,” said Dr Marigat.
