Tana River Teachers Service Commission (TSC) director David Gutu

Tana River Teachers Service Commission (TSC) director David Gutu has emphasized the need for JSS teachers to abide by the core values of the commission.

He added that integrity, team spirit, customer satisfaction, creativity and innovation are key to sailing through any job.

He applauded the JSS teachers for being pioneers of the new curriculum, the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), noting that it comes with a share of opportunities and challenges.

He was speaking during the closing ceremony of JSS retooling training at Hola Primary School.

“Please remain focused and optimistic that tomorrow will be better. We cannot address everything in one day, but we will always do everything possible and get amicable solutions for the problems you and your learners face,” Gutu said.

The director noted that the trainings are geared towards strengthening their capacity.
