He said the eight-classroom storey block being put up at Munasio would help the institution increase its capacity and boost academic performance.

The building that will cost an estimated Ksh. 20 Million is the latest with similar projects already underway at Shitochi Primary, Ivakale, and Mukulusu primary schools.

“Education tops my development priorities in Shinyalu and that is why I have embarked on deliberate efforts to address problems that have been afflicting our learning institutions for years.

I am committed to ensuring that all our schools are modernized,” said the MP.

He said he would purchase more buses and construct other modern learning buildings in all parts of the constituency.

Ikana said he also planned to put up a technical training college that would serve area residents and other parts of the country.
