Isiolo Woman Representative Mumina Bonaya has donated desks and chairs worth Ksh3.14 million to 10 schools as a move to promote dignified learning.

Speaking while issuing out the 450 desks and chairs, the MP said the donation is the second phase of the programme that targets primary and secondary schools with inadequate facilities.

In the first phase, she distributed 500 desks and chairs to 10 primary schools.

She noted that through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), she will improve the learning conditions in public schools to ensure better performance.

The lawmaker, who recently donated mathematical sets and sanitary towels to candidates, urged the youth to focus on acquiring technical skills for sustainability.

Local education stakeholders termed the project a great initiative that will help learners know that they have the support of the county government.
