ICT Ministry launches digital hub at Kapchepkor TVC

ICT MINISTRY DIGITAL HUB EDUCATION

The Ministry of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) has launched 90th digital hub at Kapchepkor Technical and Vocational Training Center in Baringo North Constituency.

Principal Secretary in the Ministry Mr. John Tanui said the program was one of the government blueprint geared to embrace the creative economy through digital space.

While praising milestone achievement by government to support the barrio, the PS reiterated that Kenya which boasts on youthful economy has an opportunity to cuddle chances to be at par with peers globally incorporating the digital space.

He said agriculture, cooperative and small enterprises and digital super highway are among key sectors which the country needs to bank on to fully realize the program.

Mr. Tanui noted that government through Ministry of education through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions wholly embarked on offensive charm in training students to access adequate skills in the digital space.

‘’ This is one way the government has committed itself to allow youth get requisite knowledge in ICT. This  , for instance, will benefit them earn a living after training  ,’’ said the PS.

Mr. Tanui said the ministry would work closely with institutions on ICT matters by ensuring access of digital skills in ambitious government program in all wards across the country.

Area Member of Parliament Mr. Joseph Makilap during the launch avowed to lift education standards in the area and challenged youth to enroll in the vocational training colleges to realize self-employment.
