Huge expectations as Kisii County secondary school ball games start tomorrow in South Mugirango

Kisii  County Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Term Two ball Games championships will hold at Nduru Boys and Nduru Girls secondary schools in South Mugirango Constituency.

County KSSSA Secretary Geoffrey Nyantika said the teams from various sub counties have already been pooled for the encounter that will kick off tomorrow.

In pool A, football teams for both boys and girls are from Etago, Sameta and Nyamache sub counties while pool B will accommodate Kisii South, Kenyenya, Kisii Central as Gucha, Etago and Gucha South are in Pool C and Kitutu Central and Marani sub counties will play in pool D.

In volleyball for boys, Masaba South is in pool A together with Nyamache and Etago while Kitutu Central, Kenyenya and Gucha South will contend in pool B.

In pool C, there will be teams from Kisii Central, Marani and Sameta while Kisii South, Gucha and Masaba South will battle it out in pool D.

The girls’ volleyball teams from Nyamache, Etago and Masaba south sub counties will wrestle it out in Pool B while those from Masaba South and Gucha, will meet in pool C. Pool D comprise teams from Gucha, Masaba South and the host sub county, Gucha.

Kisii County Director of Education Philip Chirchir thanked the KSSSA led by Kisii National School Senior Principal Fred Mogaka for the efficient coordination of the exercise.

He said that the county has a heavy task as they will host Nationals to be held at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho High Schoo in August and the director has called for maximum cooperation from all stakeholders to make the event a success.

Tomorrow, in football, Sameta will meet Itumbe of Nyamache Sub-county and Mariwa from Gucha South. Hema of Masaba South will face Kenyenya in pool B while Machongo of Gucha will battle it out with their opponents from Gucha South in pool B.

Marani of Kitutu Chache North will play Ndonyo of South Mugirango Constituency in pool C while Oginga of Kisii will face Hema from Masaba South in the same pool.

The new Kenyenya Sub-county football Champions Kebane Secondary will also battle it out  in the same pool.

Machogo, Nyagichenche and Nyanchwa high school teams will play in same pool as Ongi’cha of Kitutu Chache face Ndonyo in pool D.

Winners from pool A will play against pool C runners up as winners of B will compete with runners up of pool D.
