The 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) kicked off smoothly across the country on Monday, October 27, 2025, marking a major milestone Grade Six learners under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

According to the timetable released by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), the first day featured Mathematics and English papers. Learners began the morning session with Mathematics from 8.30 am to 9.50 am, followed by a 30-minute break, and later sat for English from 10.50 am to 11.50 am.

The second day will have Integrated Science and Kiswahili papers which will run from 8.30am to 9.50am, followed by Kiswahili Lugha and Kiswahili Insha from 10.50am to 12.10pm. Education officials across the country will continue monitoring examination centers to ensure a credible, transparent, and fair assessment process.

The final day, Wednesday, October 29, will see learners tackle Creative Arts, Social Studies, and Religious Education (CRE, IRE, and HRE).

The Ministry of Education and KNEC have reiterated that this year’s assessments emphasise competence, integrity, and lifelong learning rather than rote memorisation.

The KPSEA results will guide learner placement in junior secondary school and inform national education planning as Kenya continues to implement the CBC framework.
