The 5th Annual National Guidance and Counselling Teachers’ Forum and Excellence Awards is shaping up to be a great moment for the future of learner support in schools, as educators prepare to converge in Eldoret later this month.
Slated for Saturday, February 21, 2026, at AIC Chebisaas, Eldoret, the national forum will gather Guidance and Counselling teachers, school counsellors, education leaders, and sector partners from nationwide for a full day of professional engagement, reflection, and recognition.
Organisers say the forum is more than a calendar event—it is a professional lifeline for teachers working on the frontlines of student welfare.

“This forum creates a space where their voices, skills, and impact are acknowledged and strengthened,” organisers emphasised.
Participants will engage in peer learning, experience-sharing, and practical sessions designed to address emerging challenges affecting learners, including mental health, career guidance, discipline, and social pressures.
Award-winning practitioners will also share insights drawn from real classroom and counselling experiences.
Education leaders have been urged to actively support their Guidance and Counselling teachers’ participation.
This forum equips teachers with tools that directly benefit the entire school community.
“We call upon school principals and education administrators to support and facilitate the participation of their Guidance and Counselling teachers.
Together, we are shaping a stronger, more responsive guidance and counselling framework for our schools. And when counsellors grow, learners thrive.
