The Gretsa University has announced the postponement of its 16th Graduation Ceremony, originally scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, citing unavoidable circumstances.
The event will now take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the university’s main campus in Thika.
In an internal memo released by the Office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, Deputy Registrar Mr. Charles Kimani informed all graduands of the revised date and urged them to take note of the updated preparations.
According to the memo, graduation clearance will continue until Friday, November 14, 2025, while the mandatory rehearsal for all graduands will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, a day before the rescheduled ceremony.

“The university regrets any inconvenience caused by the change of date and appreciates the patience and understanding of all concerned,” read part of the communication signed by Mr. Kimani.
The annual graduation ceremony is one of Gretsa University’s most significant events, celebrating academic achievement, resilience, and the successful completion of studies by students across different schools and departments.
While the institution did not specify the reasons for the postponement, university officials assured graduands that preparations for the big day are ongoing and that the change will not affect the quality or organization of the event.
Gretsa University, located in Thika, Kiambu County, has continued to strengthen its reputation as a center of academic excellence and innovation.
The upcoming graduation is expected to attract hundreds of guests, including parents, education stakeholders, and government officials, to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2025.
The university extended its apologies for the inconvenience caused and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a memorable and well-organized graduation ceremony.
