Govt urged to hasten disbursement for efficient school operations

Kenya Primary Schools Head Teachers Association ( KEPSHA ) has urged the government to hasten the disbursement of capitation grants to enable schools in the country operate  more efficiently and effectively when the schools open for the first term learning session in January next year ( 2023 ).

Speaking during the official opening of their KEPSHA AGM held at Sheikh Zayed Children’s Welfare Centre in Mombasa county, KEPSHA National Chairman, Johnson Nzioka revealed that KEPSHA will continue to support Competency Based Curriculum ( CBC ) to foster Education development in the country.

He further called on the government to promote Primary school teachers with degrees and masters degree and PHD to other grades,

“This move would equally enable teachers in the country to discharge their daily duties diligently,” Nzioka explained.

He also applauded teachers in the country for managing the 2023 KCPE well without any Examinations multi practices being reported.
