Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has credited the county’s Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) milk program for a significant rise in learners enrolment and improved learning experiences across public ECDE centres.
In a statement shared via her official Facebook page, Governor Ndeti highlighted the impact of the initiative, which provides milk to children enrolled in public ECDE centres. She noted that the program has not only enhanced child nutrition but also created a more engaging and supportive learning environment.
“Since the introduction of the milk program in all our public ECDE centres, we’ve witnessed a remarkable increase in learner enrolment,” said Ndeti. “This initiative continues to boost nutrition and enhance the learning experience in early childhood education.”

The governor reiterated her administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality early learning, emphasizing the importance of nurturing both children and their educators.
