Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has taken a major step toward strengthening Early Childhood Education, with the launch of a newly constructed Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) Centre in Tinderet Ward, aimed at enhancing learning environments for young children.
Speaking during the official opening of the Mutumon ECDE Centre, Governor Sang emphasized the importance of laying a strong educational foundation through quality infrastructure and learning resources.

“Laying a strong foundation for children’s learning, particularly through the provision of quality infrastructure, is essential to shaping their future success and holistic development,” said the Governor.

The facility, now operational, is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to strengthen early childhood learning across Nandi.
In addition to opening the centre, Governor Sang also distributed essential learning materials to support young learners and teachers at the new institution.
Local leaders and community members lauded the move, citing it as a critical step toward equal access to foundational education.
