A number of students in Taita Taveta County could not perform as expected of them in the 2020 KCPE exams which were done amidst Covid-19 pandemic.

The Deputy Governor Taita Taveta County Majala Mlagui reiterated that some of the students who sat for their KCPE 2020 did not perform well in the exams due to cases such as stress brought by Covid-19 pandemic, early pregnancies and gender based violence.

She said that parents should love their children equally despite the marks they scored in their exams.

According to her, no child is a failure and that they should be given equal attention.

She said children should be encouraged and supported since they still have the chance to learn and develop in other spheres of life.
