Girl hospitalized after being defiled by two men

A Grade Seven Girl was admitted at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment on Friday after she was allegedly kidnapped and repeatedly defiled by two men overnight.
According to her parents, their daughter met her attackers when she was on the way leaving her aunt’s home.
The evil men took the victim to a lone hut away from Itumbe road junction where they defiled her in turns.
Acting on tips, Boda-boda riders from Itumbe stage in Sameta Sub-county, started a man hunt campaign and found the suspects at their hideout before they arrested them.
The Boda-boda operators who were flanked by the father of the girl, rescued and took her to hospital.
Led by their Chairman Andrew Onchieku, the riders promised to cooperate with the police to curb crime in the Sub-county.
“We want to assist the police to bring sanity in the Boda-boda industry because other people from outside the industry commit crimes then implicate our members,” said the chairman.
Itumbe police officer Joseph Mwaniki praised them for their gallant action and promised to support them in order to uplift security in the area.
He confirmed arrest of the two suspects saying that they will be arraigned in the court after completion of investigations.
Speaking from her hospital bed, the frail looking girl narrated how her captors snatched her from the road and confined her in the room for the night ordeal.
“They did bad things on me as they covered my mouth with cloths to prevent me from screaming,” she said.
The 14-years old minor thanked the Boda-boda operators for rescuing her from her tormentors and expressed hope of quick recovery
