Furious Meru residents call for arrest of woman for allegedly castrating Form Four student

Kiorimba area leader Pastor Stanley Thuranira demonstrates how the ordeal was carried out on the Form Four student.

Residents of the Kiorimba area in Tigania West, Meru County are up in arms after a woman tortured and allegedly castrated a boy he suspected of having an affair with her school going daughter.

The irate villagers are now demanding for the arrest of the woman who is a wife to a church reverend.

Following the incident, the reverend’s wife is currently on the run after allegedly assaulting and injuring the manhood of the 17 years old Form Four student.

The woman suspected the boy of secretly having an affair with her 15 years old daughter.

The suspect is accused of torturing, holding hostage and castrating the victim.

Area leaders led by Pastor Stanley Thuranira said the woman’s daughter visited the boy and spent the night at his house.

He said the following morning the boy escorted the girl home where he found her mother and another lady waiting for them while hiding in a bush near the house.

“They caught him, the other lady put a rope around his neck while the mother hit his head several times with a wood until he lost consciousness,” said Pastor Thuranira.

The two women then carried the boy to their home where they tied him up against a tree.

“She tied his private parts with another rope and kept pulling them vigorously. She even used other objects to hit the student continuously,” he added.

Thuranaira said shockingly, the woman allegedly finished up the job by biting and pulling the young man’s private parts hard, before letting him go.

He said after the ugly incident, the entire family including her husband and her children went into hiding in a nearby church before they resurfaced later.

The area leaders are now calling on the authorities to arrest the woman who has been bragging about her disciplinary actions against the victim.

“The entire village has come together to pressure the authorities into taking action, as it has been two weeks since the incident and no arrests have been made,” the leaders added.

The boy has since received treatment and hospital care though it is yet to be determined the extent of the injuries sustained from the torture.

The distraught boy said he was contemplating committing suicide before he was counselled against the drastic action.

He said his dreams of becoming a soldier have now gone up in the smoke after the castration ordeal and called on the Government to take stern action against the culprits.

He regretted that the incident may negatively affect his performance in the national examinations because he won’t be able to concentrate on his studies while healing.

The mother said the pride of every parent is to see their children succeed and sire offsprings for continuity which is now on jeopardy.
