Four teachers arrested yesterday at Kamagambo Day Secondary School have been arraigned to appear before Justice Raymond Langat in Rongo Law Court today.

The four, Francis Akoth  Osodo the head teacher of the institution and the centre manager, Florence Auma Otieno, invigilator, Job Mamai who was the supervisor and George Magambo were arrested on Tuesday

They did not take pleas today after the prosecution requested for more days to conclude its investigation.

The teachers are accused of alleged examination irregularities. They will be remanded at Kamagambo Police cells

Rongo Day Secondary school was presenting its first Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates this year having been established less than five years ago.

According to the prosecution the suspects would interfere with the key witnesses who are mainly students currently sitting for their exams adding that it would also give them humble time in collecting and submitting the recommended materials in the case for forensic audit.

Principal Secretary for Early Learning and Basic Education Dr. Julius Jwan and Chief Administrative Secretary for Industrialization Trade and Enterprise Development David Osiany toured several schools in the sub county yesterday.

They warned against exam irregularities saying any one who will be found will be dealt with in accordance to the law.

The case will be mentioned on April 9, 2021.
