Two immediate former students from Manga and Bishop Mugendi Nyakegogi Secondary schools are among people who were arrested by the police for allegedly storming Kisii County Woman Representative’s office.
Unknown irate youth had invaded the office on Monday after they accused the Woman Representative of corruption. They alleged that the office had misused more than Ksh19 million from the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) meant to support the youth and other vulnerable groups.
According to the MP Doris Aburi, her office has been a target of a series of attacks orchestrated by her political enemies.
“On that day I received reports that goons had invaded my office again so I had to report to the police to provide security,” she said, revealing that the hooligans broke the office fence and smashed its windows.
According to Masige West MCA Jacob Bagaka, the police landed at the troubled office and arrested anybody in the vicinity, including the two candidates who were among those who had completed their KCSE and were travelling home, as well as Kisii nominated MCA Caudenciah Moraa.

The MCA blamed Kisii OCPD Charles Keses for the random and arbitrary arrest of innocent people and asked for his arrest over abuse and misuse of his position.
“It is painful for a parent who has been anticipating a happy arrival of their children at home after the examinations only to hear that they have been locked in police cells,” he said.
He also accused Kisii County Commissioner Joseph Kibet of being partisan by siding with some political wings in the county, asking him to distance himself from politics and concentrate on his administrate duties.
Bagaka thanked his colleagues who raised 180,000 shillings to bail out the two students, the MCA and 8 other people.
According to the Kisii Law Court recordings, their case will be heard on December 4.
