Former principal vying for Kitui Central Constituency parliamentary seat

The immediate former principal of Mutitu Boys High school has joined contenders vying for the Kitui Central Constituency parliamentary seat.

Joseph Kayula, the former principal is running for the Kitui Central office under the Green Thinking Action Party (GTAP) ticket.

He recently reveals that he is vying for the position in Kitui where he urged the government to deal firmly with politicians who are hurling insults at their in the country, urging his competitors to conduct their campaigns peacefully.

“We need peaceful campaigns and elections in our constituency. We in the GTAP are not having some party nominations in our party,” Kasyula said.

He was addressing the media at the Kitui Catholic Diocese’s Saint Raphael Catholic Pre-School in Kitui Town where he had attended the learning institution’s official opening by the Bishop, the Right Reverend Joseph Mwongela.

At the event, Kasyula thanked the teachers of the Kitui Catholic Diocese’s schools for the excellent performance posted in the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) national examination.

Kasyula assured the Kitui Central constituents some better services by him if elected the MP during the Kenya’s General Elections slated for Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

He is seeking to oust the incumbent MP, Dr. Benson Makali Mulu of Wiper Democratic Movement who has been the Kitui Central Constituency MP since 2013.

His other competitors include Henry Kituti Malonza of Jubilee Party and Boniface Mutisya Musambi of United Democratic Alliance.
