Former Butere Boys football star returns to the US after days in Kenya

Former Butere Boys High School football standout, Hassan Swaleh, has returned to the United States to continue with his education and football development at Montverde Academy, a prestigious sports-focused institution based in Florida.

Hassan had been back in Kenya for the holidays and spent part of his break training with the current Butere Boys squad, sharpening his skills and mentoring younger players. His return to Montverde comes after a solid stint with The Exodus, a team he represented last year prior to joining the U.S.-based academy.

Muwesa FC, his home team coaching staff praised Hassan’s discipline and commitment, calling his return to the academy a proud moment for the school and the local community.

“Hassan remains a role model to many young players here. Watching him grow from our midfield to an international platform is inspiring,” said one of the coaches

Montverde Academy is known for producing elite athletes, and Hassan’s continued presence there is seen as a promising step in his football journey

The Butere Boys fraternity and Muwesa FC local fans have wished him well as he balances academics and athletics abroad.
