A Form Two boy has died on the spot after being knocked down by a trailer truck at Nthangathini in Masinga sub county.
The boy who schools at Kiseuni Secondary school had gone home with another student because he was feeling unwell. He changed his clothes and went to find his parents who were not at home when tragedy struck.
Boniface Mwanza, a witness, said that the trailer truck was transporting a tractor at the time of the accident.
“The accident happened around a corner, the boy died on the spot but the driver was not hurt,” said Mwanza.
He added: “The two boys had left school and went home because the deceased was sick. They did not report to the teachers before leaving the school and when they got home and found no one, they went to find the deceased’s mother and that’s when the accident happened.”
The body of the boy was moved to Mbaku Funeral Home for preservation awaiting post mortem.
Investigations into the accident have also commenced.
