Former and current national secondary school football champions are set to clash at the Annual Super Eight Football Tournament scheduled to take place from February 27 to March 1, 2026, at Bukhungu Grounds and Kakamega School Grounds in Kakamega County.
The highly anticipated secondary school football competition will feature eight top teams drawn into two pools, promising thrilling encounters and a showcase of Kenya’s emerging football talent.
Pool A will be headlined by former East Africa and national champions, alongside former national champions Highway Secondary School, Kakamega School and Kisumu Day Secondary School.

The group brings together experienced sides with strong football traditions, setting the stage for intense group stage matches.
Pool B features defending national champions St. Joseph’s Kitale, who enter the tournament as favourites following their recent national success.

They will battle Kirangari Secondary School, Butere Boys High School and St. Mary’s Yala in a competitive race for qualification to the knockout stage.
Tournament organisers say the event aims to promote sportsmanship, nurture young talent, and strengthen inter-school football competition while providing a platform for players to showcase their skills to scouts and fans.
The three-day championship is expected to attract large crowd of students, teachers, and football enthusiasts, underlining the growing popularity of secondary school football in Kenya.
