First Lady Rachel Ruto has urged students across Kenya to plant at least 30 trees each year, encouraging them that they have a crucial role to play in fostering a greener and more sustainable nation.
Speaking during a tree planting exercise at Matuga Girls in Kwale County, she noted the importance of nurturing the environment and called on learners to embrace their roles as environmental champions.
The First Lady’s appeal comes in support of the National Greening Campaign, which aims to increase Kenya’s tree cover and combat the adverse effects of climate change.
