Property worth millions of shillings have gone up in flames after fire razed down a dormitory at St Ann’s Kiriari Girls Secondary.
Embu North deputy county commissioner William Owino said the fire started in the wee hours of the morning and that no casualties were reported.
“The students were in class for their morning studies so no one was injured. However, 92 students who resided inside the dormitory lost their belongings,” he explained.
He went on to add that fire engine services arrived at the school after the dormitory was completely burnt.
Owino said that investigations were underway and the culprits will face the full force of the law.
The students continue with their studies.
