A family in Merigi ward, Bomet County is calling for financial assistance from the government and well-wishers to foot a Ksh4 million bill to bring back the body of their 27-year-old son, Benard Kiprotich Logoy, who suddenly passed away last week in Alabama State, USA.
According to his mother, Agnes Lang’at, their son talked with the family a day before he died but did not show any signs of illness.
It was a rude shock the following morning when they were informed of his demise.
At the time of publishing this story, the cause of death was yet to be established.

The father, Paul Lang’at, said that he left home in 2017 to pursue Electronics and Electrical Engineering and was to graduate before coming home this December.
“My son had told us that he was to come home in December after graduation but we are now grieving and reeling in shock,” he said.
Lang’at said that his son was the only hope for the family. He added that he was a very bright boy who scored a straight ‘A’ of 84 points in his KCSE exams helping him to secure a scholarship in the USA.
Their only wish is for the government and friends to come to their rescue and help the family bring the body home for a decent burial.
