The Elgeyo Marakwet County secondary school term one games, initially scheduled for earlier this week, have been postponed to March 7–8 to allow schools to participate in the ongoing Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) games running until Friday.
Despite the postponement, selected schools have already signalled the county’s excitement for one of the year’s biggest school sporting events.
The event will take place at St. Patrick’s High School, Iten while swimming contests take place in Eldoret.
The school which posted impressive results at the sub county games aims at garnering another victory in the upcoming games.
The school also had five athletes securing spot to re represent Keiyo North sub county.
The rugby team will enter the competition as reigning Rift Valley champions while the hockey squad aims to improve on last year’s quarterfinal finish.
