Runners up in the just concluded 2022 general elections have pledged to back elected leaders in the quest to develop the education sector in Suna West constituency and Migori County at large.

The leaders noted that the loss of their aspirations called for unity in the region and accord the education sector the support and attention it deserved.

Hans Masaga who vied for Wasimbete Ward’s MCA seat in the constituency was addressing residents who had assembled at Bishop Masaga Ogada Girls secondary school for the commissioning of a school bus by the area MP Hon. Peter Francis Masara.

Masaga pledged to stand by MP Masara in a bid to push for development within the region and to provide necessary support.

“We had our ambitions but I am ready to work and support the leaders you elected so that as a community we are able to realize the dream of our children,” Masaga said.

His sentiments were echoed by area aspiring MP David Odhiambo who said that he was willing to share with the sitting MP his agenda and manifesto for the sake of realizing development in the area.

“During campaigns, each one of us had different manifestos and we are ready to share and support Masara to ensure all the issues affecting our people are properly looked at,” he said.

Close competitor Joseph Obiero Ndiege reiterated the sentiments and further congratulated Masara on his win.

The leaders also encouraged their counterparts in other parts of Nyanza to ensure the region develops and its children access education at all levels.
