Egerton University is inviting applications from the suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent credentials to fill 28 positions.
There a vacancy for Deputy Chief Procurement Officer Grade 14 in the office of Vice Chancellor. The holder of the post will direct and coordinate all aspects of the University’s procurement, account payable, and university Services Unit.
In the legal office, the position of senior legal Officer Grade 13 has been re-advertised and he/she will oversee the activities in the legislative environment that have an impact on University’s operations, prepare and draft amendments to legislations affecting the university, draft legal opinions and maintain data among other duties.
In the Division of Academic, Research and Extension under the Directorate of Research and Extension there’s a vacancy for Director (Research and Extension) that has been re-advertised and the holder shall play a leading role in the implementation of the envisage transformation process, mainly in the research, extension and consultancy functions of the University.
In the Administration, Finance and planning division, the University has re-advertised a single position for the Registrar (Human capital and Administration) Grade 15 who will be responsible for all Human Resource and Administration matters of the university and one post for Transport officer for job Grade 12 who will be an overall manager of transport department in the university among other duties.
In the Division of Academic, Research and Extension, Faculty of Engineering and Technology under the department of Electrical and Control Engineering, the university is in need of a lecturer Grade 12 (Electrical Communication Engineering for a single post and another one post for Lecturer Grade 12 (Electrical Control Engineering).

In the Science Faculty, Department of Physics a post for Tutorial Fellow Grade XI (Computational physics) with a Master’s degree in Computational physics has been advertised.
The University also is in need of an Associate Professor Grade 14 (Human Anatomy) for a single post and a Senior Lecturer (Human Anatomy) to fill one position, all in the Faculty of Health Sciences from the Department of Medical Physiology.
In the Department of Reproductive Health, an Associate Professor Grade 14 (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) there’s a vacancy and a Senior Lecturer Grade (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) also to fill a single position in the department.
The department of Internal Medicine, the University is in need of one a Grade 14, Associate Professor (Medicine) and Grade 13 Senior Lecturer (Medicine) also for a single slot in the University.
In the department of Paediatrics and Child Health, a Grade 14 an Associate Professor (Paediatrics and Child Health) and Group 13, Senior Lecturer also (Paediatrics and Child Health) both to fill single positions in their respective areas.
The University requires an Associate Professor in Grade 14 in the Surgery Department and a Grade 13 Senior lecturer to fill a single position in the Department of Human Pathology.
In the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, under the department of Veterinary, Anatomy and Physiology, a Grade 13 Senior lecturer and Grade 12 lecturers both for Veterinary Anatomy are required to fill one position each.
There is also a single position in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology for Grade 8 Technologist (Pathology) and the department of Veterinary Public Health, Pharmacology and Toxicology has one position for Grade 8 Technologist in the area.
Faculty of Law has one position for a Grade 13 Public Law senior lecturer, one position for a Grade 12 lecturer on Gender and Development Studies from the Institute of Women, gender and Development Studies.
In the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Crops and Horticulture and Soil, a Grade 7 Technologist II (Horticulture (Pomology) is needed for a single position while the department of Animal Science a Grade 7 Technologist is also needed.
In the Faculty of Environment and Resources Development, from the Department of Geography, (GIS and Remote Sensing) Grade 12 lecturer is needed for single position and (Geomorphology/hydrology/climatology) Grade 12 lecturer is also needed to fill a single position in the department.
The applicants are advised to apply through the Official University website, with two copies of application letter, not later than Monday April 15, 2024.
