Education officer organizes a sports tournament to nurture talents

Turbo Sub County Director of Education, Richard Ng’ang’a has organized an open tournament at Moro Primary School.

Ng’ang’a, the facilitator of the tournament said its main aim is to nurture young talents.

“We have organized an open tournament on the 14th of August, our main aim is to nurture untapped talents, we want learners to also explore their talents which might help them earn a living in future,” said Ng’ang’a while speaking to the press.

He noted the event is set to exploit potential talent that was spotted during the term one handball games and as such twelve teams have confirmed their presence with four being Ladies’ teams.

“The confirmed teams are; Sugoi, Kabiemit, Kapkoimur, Baharini, Kipkoros, NYS Turbo men, Tigers Legends and Tigers juniors,” he said.

For the ladies’ teams the NYS Tigers, Ng’enyilel, Kitale Family and Tigers have registered to set balance to the day.

The Sub-County director of Education Mr. Richard Ng’ang’a has donated three trophies and has promised more.

He has been nicknamed “The Turbo Charger” by the Turbo stakeholders in academic performance and co-curricular activities that have been taken to a higher level since he joined the Turbo sub-county.

Players have acknowledged his efforts noting that he recognizes every win no matter the level of score.

“Ng’ang’a has been an instrumental figure and our number one motivation as he ensures every win and all those that took part are rewarded whether you are the Coach, teacher or helped in facilitating,” said a player.

The organizers of the tournament are confident that more teams will register and bring challenge and competitiveness to the Event.
