Education director picks four students to join Form one

Eric Were, Cheptais sub county director of education handed over four students to St. Thomas Aquinas Chesikaki high school after a door to door search to identify those who have not joined form one.

Addressing journalists at his office, Were urged parents to work with chiefs and Education stakeholders to ensure that all students who did their KCPE examination are in school.

He attributed the delay in form one admission to lack of funds and personal emoluments.

Were urged school heads from his area of jurisdiction not to send students who have not cleared fees back home.

Bungoma County Commissioner Samuel Kimiti said that the government will take a stun action against parents who have not taken their students to school.

Kimiti expressed concern on the high number of teenage pregnancies in Bungoma and asked parents to guide their children accordingly.
