Education CS George Magoha has warned head teachers and principals not to leave a Kenyan child unregistered in the national examinations.
The CS said that it is a criminal offence if school heads not to register students of Grade Six, Class Eight and Form four asking every child be registered.
Speaking at Kakamega Primary ad Kakamega High school where he was monitoring reporting of Form Ones, he asked them to join selected schools regardless of scholarships that come late and be issued with uniforms among other learning material.
Magoha said the ministry of education will not extent the May 14 deadline for registration of national exams as this academic year is too short, adding no student should be sent home for fees.
The ministry of education will receive a total of 18,000 scholarships later on this year, a move the CS said all Form Ones should not affect admission and learning should proceed as usual.
Apart from the two schools he visited, schools heads from other schools all over the country were urged to let the student be admitted to form one provided there is school uniform purchased in school.
On parents with less money for fees payment, the CS asked them to give the government what they have and ensure every form one is admitted in school.
Magoha said he wants to know the number of those registered asking students to be submissive to parents and teachers in order to come up with exemplary performance.
At the same time, Magoha thanked school managements for nurturing students with discipline as there were no incidences of unrest reported in the last term.
He revealed that KNEC has embarked on preparations for the national examinations for the academic year.
