Kenya Science and Engineering Fair (KSEF) Eastern Regional Secretary Peter Mwinzi has expressed joy with the winning categories together with the science patrons, adding that they have made the county proud.
“It only calls for efforts from all stakeholders, and once we give the learners and their patrons the support needed, good results are realised,” Mwinzi said.
Makueni was represented by eight senior schools and four junior schools; many of the schools performed very well, bearing in mind the competitions were very tough.
He pointed out that many of the projects demonstrated how student-led innovation can directly address real-world challenges.

“I can tell you these students have the potential to bring meaningful change through these projects. Let us continue supporting their ideas so that they can realise their dreams,” he added.
In a special way, he congratulated Mukaa Boys for position 2 in the Computer Science category, St. Mary’s ACK Ukia Girls for position 3 in Clothing, Textile and Décor, and Malivani AIC Junior School for position 3 in the Agriculture category. Makueni Boys, Mwaani Girls, Precious Blood, Kisau Girls and Salama Senior School also did their best.
Additionally, Nguumo Junior, Kathonzweni AIC and Kari Mwailu Junior Schools performed well.
