DP Ruto urges teachers to mould learners on National integration

Deputy President William Ruto has asked teachers to instill in their learners education that emphasizes on National integration.

Ruto urged the teachers to ride above ethnicities and embrace national values that will enable them steer the country into greater socioeconomic prosperity.

He also urged learners to work hard for quality grades to enable them get good jobs that will enable them fight the ills in the society.

Speaking during the commissioning of school buses in South Mugirango Constituency in Kisii county, the DP said that peace provides a conducive environment for studies.

“I ask the students to live peacefully with their teachers and the public because peace is the main pillar for preventing social conflicts,” he advised.

The deputy president was flanked by Kisii county governor James Ongwae, Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and South Mugirango MP Dylivanus Osoro among other leaders from the region.

Osoro thanked the government for providing money through the NG-CDF for developments at the grass roots level.

He said that the two buses for both Bogichoncho and Nyakembene secondary schools were bought using NG-CDF  money and money from the Parents Teachers’ Association.

Osoro added that the school buses will help students to accomplish their studies as it will transport them to and from the academic tours.

He asked the boards of management to ascertain that the buses were used only for the purposes for which they were bought.
