Tala Ward Member of County Assembly Jackson Ndaka says the delay in reimbursement of funds from the national government has hampered bursary disbursement by counties.
Speaking at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tala on Saturday, Ndaka noted that activities in counties, including development has been affected.
He however promised that everyone who applied for the bursaries in January will get them and should cast all worries aside.
“It has been five months since the county government received funds from the national government. The delay of funds from the treasury has affected everything but we hope they are released soon so that our children can get fees.
“I would like to urge those who applied not to give up and know your applications are still valid because everyone will be considered,” he added.
The county lawmaker disclosed that several roads in the ward that have become unusable due to rains will be repaired.
“I have the assurance that even the drainage in Tala market will be repaired in a bid to clear the floods being experienced during ongoing rains,” he said.
