Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Julius Ogamba and Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti joined forces with hundreds of students, religious leaders, and government officials to participate in the inaugural “Run for the Bibleless” event at Machakos School on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Organised by Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL), the event aimed to raise funds to translate the Bible into local languages for communities that have yet to access God’s word in their mother tongue.
Dr. Ogamba emphasised the urgent need to reach Bibleless communities with the gospel, quoting Romans 10:14.
Governor Ndeti praised the initiative, reaffirming the county government’s support for faith-based programs that promote literacy and spiritual growth.
