County to set up Mass Communication College

The County government of Uasin Gishu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) that will see a constituent college established in Eldoret town.
Speaking during the MoU signing at the county headquarters recently, Governor Jackson Mandago said setting up of the facility will benefit many young men and women who will be seeking to pursue journalism courses.
Mandago said his administration would provide necessary support and facilitation to enable the institution to be set up as soon as possible.
“I want to thank KIMC for deciding to put up a constituent college in Eldoret and I promise to give them my full support. This institution will not only serve Uasin Gishu residents but also other surrounding 15 counties,” said governor Mandago.
