Cooperate with schools to improve education standards, Malindi residents told

Education stakeholders in Malindi Sub-county in Kilifi County have been urged to work with schools closely to improve academic performance in the area.

Speaking to Education News in his office in Malindi town recently, Sub-county Director of Education Josphat Ngumi said strategic plans had already been put in place to improve the two national examinations , the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education ( KCPE ) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education ( KCSE ).

He further revealed that although schools in the area posted impressive result in 2021 KCPE and KCSE, there was still more room for improvement.

The directo disclosed that the 2021 KCPE and KCSE results had already been reviewed with a view to finding ways of improving the 2022 results.

He asked education stakeholders to work as a team to equip schools with the essential learning facilities.

“The move will enhance effective teaching and learning,” Mr. Ngumi revealed, observing that lack of learning facilities contributed to the dismal performance.
