The construction of an administration block at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Malava campus is set to commence soon.

Speaking during a press briefing, Malava NG-CDF Manager Collins Obuya said that area MP Malulu Injendi will flag off the construction, adding that two new classrooms have already been constructed at the institution.

He noted that the first phase of the construction will cost Ksh27 million and part of the funds for the 3-year project has been released.

Obuya said that the construction was in line with President Ruto’s directive to the KMTC Board to set up administration blocks across their sub-county campuses countrywide.

The Manager advised locals to embrace the project, saying it will bring with it employment opportunities and economic empowerment.

“The construction of the facility will be a huge employment opportunity for locals working at the construction site and food vendors, after which incoming students will also require accommodation and other facilities. Those with means should start investing early to reap the goodies,” he said.

Obuya called on those with professional skills and those interested in casual jobs to avail themselves before the construction begins.
