Various professors in India, Britain, Germany, Nigeria and other parts of the world have carried out a comprehensive study to establish the relationship between stability in marriage and educational achievement and the results are just amazing.
Speaking to an enormous crowd of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God in Kitale-Sibanga, Dr.Richard Obwogi advised the congregants to respect the institution of marriage as designed by God because it had a direct bearing between high levels of educational achievement, marital stability and moral uprightness in any given society.
“Moral decadence or Moral integrity has its roots in the marriage institution and the grace of God,” he stated.
“Why should marriages be pervaded by Baby Mummy and Baby Daddy’, this makes the absolute family to be torn apart between the biological and caretaker parents. Each parent visits the child intermittently in school, making the child’s allegiance hang in the balance.” He wondered.

He challenged youths or people intending to get married to be ready to take up full responsibility of the spouse’s children born out of wedlock in case they find any without handing over the mandate to someone else.
The District Overseer, Rev.Dr.Samwel Nyatera emphasized the importance of education viewing it as a non-variable pathway to personal transformation.
He affirmed that education has to be seen as bona fide means of furnishing individuals with all the requisite skills and knowledge that would eventually lead to a fulfilling life.
“We should not just see education as a means of acquiring academic knowledge, but also as a way of developing character, sense of responsibility in a bid to live harmoniously in our society.” He advised.
On his rejoinder, Rev. Dr.Herman Isaji, stated that it’s through education that we get moral and spiritual empowerment where sound Christian values and virtues develop a sense of responsibility towards others.
He further stated that the nucleus of all worship and sound outcomes in Education is the institution of marriage and family.

It’s therefore through education that individuals are appropriately empowered to make informed decisions touching on very pertinent matters of life and where they become real agents of change.
The Church’s schools were represented by the principal of Tuwan Girls in Trans-Nzoia, Margaret Koinange who stated that it was her desire to provide fulfilling opportunities to her learners but was greatly being challenged by a number of issues which she was sure that the church and other stakeholders would help in overcoming them.
Koinange stated that the schools setting is characterized by poor housing, overcrowding, broken homes, sanitation problems, overcrowding and lack of essential infrastructure and appealed to all people of good will to assist the school navigate through these headwinds.
“I can conventionally acknowledge that the girls are fully determined to set a new record but have various impediments which we shall overcome by God’s grace.” She said.
The erstwhile principal, Mary Osuju wished the new principal well and expressed confidence that she was equal to the task of taking the school to the new level.
