Chesamisi High School in Bungoma County has emerged victorious at the Western Region Drama Festival, a testament to the school’s commitment to excellence in drama and performance arts.
The school’s Narrative team impressed judges with their outstanding performance, building on their earlier success at the Bungoma County Drama Festival.
“This great achievement is a true testament to the hard work, discipline, creativity, and determination that our students and trainers have consistently shown throughout the festival season,” read a statement from the school.

The school community is beaming with pride, thanks to the team’s passion, sacrifice, and resilience. “We are immensely proud of the entire team for the passion, sacrifice, and resilience they put into the preparation and performance,” the statement added.

Speaking after the event, the team lauded the school principal for his unwavering support and commitment to nurturing talent. “We sincerely appreciate our Principal Ndombi, for his unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment to nurturing talent,” they said.
The team was guided by esteemed patrons, including Margaret Njiriri, and dedicated directors led by Derrick Waswa, an alumnus of Chesamisi High School.
“Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our esteemed patrons, whose leadership, experience, and passion played a major role in steering the team to this well-deserved success,” the school said.
The victory is a collective triumph, with contributions from students, teachers, trainers, and supporters. “Thank you to every student, teacher, trainer, and supporter who contributed to this journey. This victory belongs to all of us,” the statement concluded.
