Cheptais Boy’s in Bungoma County has qualified to proceed to the regionals for handball games after shining during the Bungoma County Secondary Schools Term One games held at friends school Kamusinga.
The team which emerged position two after St. Lukes Kimilili, scored 13 goals against 24, is ready to represent Bungoma County in regionals amid myriad of challenges of bad weather.
Samuel Obomba the team captain averred that they would have done better than that only if the weather allowed.
“We’re happy because we’re now regional handball qualifiers. We really tried amid the heavy downpour, which made the ball slippery, “Obomba said.

The games teacher Brian Kusang attributed the players ‘ discipline being among the contributory factors towards their success, and also thanked fans for accompanying the team.
He asserted that there is a vast improvement compared to yesteryears, whereby the school just reached semis and didn’t proceed further.
He promised to work hand in hand with the coach to ensure that the identified gaps are bridged to ensure success in the regionals.
