Change of guard at KEPSHA Eastern regional leadership

The Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA) Eastern region Chairman, Nicodemus Musyoka has joined the National Executive Board (NEB) and relinquished his seat to his Secretary Darrick Mutunga.

Speaking in his office at Makindu GNCA Primary School, Musyoka said Mutunga who takes over as the Regional Chairman, is a suitable replacement, wishing him success as he dispenses his new duties.

“I will be here to help him where need be. Joining National Executive Board is a promotion to me but I promise to support where necessary as I carry out my new duties,” Musyoka said.

He disclosed that Mutungas position will now be occupied by Riungu David who becomes the secretary and Rashid Abdulahi the treasurer.

Musyoka who worked as the chairman for three years, expressed his joy that he enjoyed working with stakeholders within the region which gave him a wide experience on matters affecting teachers and how to solve them amicably.

“I thank God for elevating me to serve teachers in this capacity. I will articulate head-teachers’ issues well,” Musyoka added.

When he first announced his new post andthe relinquishing of his position to the new Chairman in a meeting in Wote town, Mutunga, the new chairman, wished his colleague the best, adding that he is a very hardworking person who is equal to any task given to him.

“I accept to take over this new position, our chair has been a good person and I will follow his steps. I promise to work with colleagues for the betterment of teachers and pupils,” Mutunga said.
