As part of its corporate social impact, Safaricom’s Mpesa Foundation has invested KSh35 million towards the construction of Marram Comprehensive School; a modern learning facility, located at the border of Laikipia and Baringo counties aimed at promoting education in the two counties.
The Mpesa Foundation area leader Job Ochari said the newly constructed and well-equipped educational facility will ensure that the children in the remorse area have the tools they need to learn and achieve their educational dream.
He emphasized that the major goal is to transform the lives of the children especially those in the marginalised community where assess to education is a challenge.

The project will undoubtedly bring great fortune to the community by ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve their dreams and receive quality education,” said the governor.
Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi, his Laikipia counterpart Joshua Irungu graced the occasion. Governor Irungu said the project will remain remarkable as the local community will be empowered through education.

Baringo Governor lauded the Mpesa Foundation for funding the project to completion, for the benefit of the Churo community. “This significant development that will enable access to education for our children and in a modern learning environment in the region,” said Cheboi.
