Despite the death of area Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi earlier this year, the Malava Constituency Development Fund (CDF) office has continued to implement key education projects, ensuring thousands of learners benefit.
CDF Fund Manager Humphrey Tieni Sechero said the office has completed and handed over 14 new classrooms in various schools across the constituency. He added that construction of additional learning facilities is ongoing.
Sechero also revealed that over Sh55 million has been disbursed as bursaries to students in secondary schools and colleges. More than 85,000 learners have benefitted so far.
“Given the vastness of this constituency, we receive many applications, but we ensure every eligible student gets support,” he said during a media briefing after inspecting ongoing projects.

The late Malulu Injendi, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, had served as Malava MP since 2013 and was in his third term. He was the Vice-Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education and was instrumental in advancing education policies in Parliament.
His legacy continues through the constituency’s active education development agenda, with the CDF office maintaining momentum on school infrastructure and student support programmes.
