CBC taskforce rolls out public engagement

The Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) task force has from today rolled out public collection of views concerning the curriculum.

The exercise will go on till November 18, 2022.

The team, led by task force chairperson Prof Raphael Munavu, has spread out to different counties and public engagement will start from 8am to 4 pm.

Today, the team will visit Kwale, Taita Taveta, Marsabit, Nyandarua, Turkana, Kericho, Busia, Migori, Mandera and Samburu counties

The notice, signed by Prof Munavu, indicated that the team will be available in Kwale High, CDF Hall Mwatate, Moi Girls Marsabit, Nyandarua High, Lodwar Boys, Kericho Teachers College, Lwanya Special School, Migori Teachers College, Mandera Secondary and St Irene Secondary.

The team will collect public views in Mombasa, Makueni, Nyeri, Elgeyo Marakwet, Bungoma, Nyamira and Homa Bay on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

The venues include: Coast Girls, Makueni Boys, Nyeri High, Tambach TC, St Teresa Sio, Sironga Girls and Homa Bay High.

On Friday, November 5th, the team will visit Isiolo, Wajir and Laikipia counties and the venues of engagement will be at Isiolo Girls, Wajir High and CDF Hall Nanyuki.

According to The Kenya Gazette Notice No. 11920, the public can drop their views at the party’s office (10th floor) at Absa Towers, Loita Street in Nairobi.

“The submissions should be addressed to the chairperson and hand-delivered to the working party offices,” the notice reads.

Electronic submission of views, by way of memoranda, letters or research papers, should be sent to secretariat@educationreforms.go.ke.
