The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) projects currently being carried out from Grade 3 to 8 are aimed at sharpening the learners’ skills to be used now and in future.

Many of the tasks involved in these projects are performed in subjects like Agriculture, Science and Technology, Music, Art and Craft and performing Arts in junior Secondary among other subjects.

Many of the skills acquired from these subjects can directly be implemented at home and benefit the families.

The skills acquired by the learners make many of them to be in a better position to be self-reliant as they progress in life. Generally, the CBC system of Education entails the learners to share with their parents the knowledge and skills learnt  in school which is beneficial to the whole community.

The projects involve tasks like cooking food, conservation of soil erosion and singing. The tasks also give learners a sense of confidence and responsibility.

The knowledge and skills acquired by the learners will propel the nation to the highest level now and in future.

Teachers play a great role in guiding the learners during the CBC implementation. This also proves that the CBC is a Game changer in Education.
