National examinations for Grade Six and Grade Nine learners commenced smoothly across Marsabit County on Monday morning, marking a successful start to this year’s Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA ) and  Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) assessments.

According to Marsabit County Director of Education, Peter Magiri, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has put in place extensive logistics to ensure the tests proceed without disruption. He said a helicopter has been deployed to distribute exam papers to remote regions such as Illeret and Dukana, owing to the vast size and challenging terrain of the county.

Magiri cautioned school heads and invigilators against engaging in any form of malpractice, emphasizing the importance of integrity during the exercise. His remarks were reinforced by County Commissioner James Kamau, who assured candidates, supervisors, and invigilators of adequate security throughout the examination period.
