County government of Busia through the Department of Education and Industrial Skills Development has launched an 11-day training program for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Sub-County Coordinators and their deputies.
Speaking during the launch, Deputy Director Vincent Sango, emphasized the importance of digital tools in modern education.
“The Tayari Program is a cost-effective and scalable solution that allows teachers to deliver well-structured, engaging lessons while fostering a child-centered learning environment,” he noted
The training which aims to equip coordinators with the skills needed to guide teachers in implementing, the Tayari methodology, which aligns with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), is part of the Tayari Program, a government-backed effort to improve early learning outcomes across Kenya.

A key component of the program is the integration of EIDU, a digital learning platform that provides structured teacher guides, interactive exercises, and digital assessments. Already in use across Busia County, EIDU will now incorporate Tayari EIDU, designed to enhance lesson delivery through technology.
By empowering educators with digital resources and structured teaching methods, the initiative seeks to strengthen early childhood education in Busia County, ensuring young learners receive quality and interactive instruction.
