A 14-year-old boy who topped the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary (KCPE) examinations in Bunyala has said that his dream is to pursue Engineering at the university.

Caroly Wanyama expressed great joy having scored 385 marks, which handed him the ticket to join Butula Boys High School; his choice national school that he believes will help him realize his dream career.

“I have nothing to worry about because I am at the right place. I am grateful to be associated with the school and I am positive that it will help me achieve my dream,” said Wanyama.

Chawo Star Academy Headteacher, Anne Mwajuma, averred that Wanyama, who had put the school in the county’s academic map, had what it takes to become an Engineer.

The school head said that during his time at the school, the top boy possessed the highest level of discipline coupled with hard work and commitment to his studies, qualities which she attributed to his success.

His current Mathematics teacher says that during the short period he has been in Butula Boys, he has shown his grit and commitment to studies.

“The boy is hardworking. I have total confidence that he will definitely achieve his dream of becoming an Engineer should he continue putting in more effort,” Ken said.
